Do you have trouble finding time to invest in creativity?
Do you have several excuses for why things don’t get done?
I want to share a motivational quote, coined by Javacia Harris Bowser, the founder and editor of See Jane Write, a website and membership community for women who write. Javaica has the authority to speak, with a few of her credits being award-winning freelance journalist and essayist. She has recently added podcaster to the list as well. The quote is specifically geared for writers, but you can fill in your own art form as needed.
Are you ready for it? Here it is:

Here is my response:

What?!?!

No, these aren’t my words
My mentor says it - repeatedly
Wait - is that it?
It can’t be that easy

There have to be techniques
I need tips and ideas
Don’t I need a degree?
Or at least a seminar?

Life is complicated
There’s always something
Sure I eat, sleep, and work
But who has time for anything else?
